Baking

I have been baking and making up a storm. I hope I can upload some of these pictures. I've made pretezels, peanut butter balls, puppy chow mix, dog biscuits, and hot chocolate mix. Super yummy! If I can't upload pics, I'll try later tonight.

Pretty Hairpins

I found this pretty hairpins off of the cool website One Pretty Thing. These were made for Reilly and Piper. I cut out the fabric and then arranged the circles, sewed them together, and then glued it onto bobby pin. I thought they turned out really well.

I'm going to some more for some other people. Very fun.

Place cards

Here is a picture of a turkey placecard that I made while watching the majorly disappointing game of Oklahoma and Texas Tech. I made 9 of them for our Thanksgiving feast. Micah was very impressed, as were all of his friends. I didn't really have a stencil for them, but just kind of free-handed it all. I used Martha Stewart's woodland paper pad for the paper. I found it at Wal-Mart after looking in the craft section, but finding it over with the birthday party supplies. Of course! Why didn't I think of that? (maybe because I'm normal and actually thought since it's craft stuff, it would be in the craft section) I think they are pretty darn cute!

Christmas Decorations

This weekend Michael's had their scrapbook paper pads on sale. I scored a nice pack of 60+ sheets that was originally $19.99. Their ad said that scrapbook paper packs were 30% off. I wasn't sure if this one was included, but then I decided that it was since it was displayed in their ad picture. Well, I go up to check out and it wasn't ringing up on the discount. Did that stop me? No way, Jose! I showed the check out girl where it is clearly displayed in the ad and she said, "Fine." Then, she took my $6.00 off. I'm going to use the craft paper for paper chains, paper trees, and other gift things. I'll post pics when my crafts are done.

Christmas List

This is not a list of who is being naughty and nice, but rather a list of people whom I will be making their Christmas gifts. They are in no particular order: (ps. if your name is not on here it doesn't mean you are not getting a gift, I just found something better for you and already purchased it)

1. My very Momma
2. Sissy
3. Alex
4. Possibly my Daddy
5. Callie Marie
6. Dinah
7. My close friends with young children (there are too many to list)
8. My close friends with dogs
9. Co-workers
10. Possibly Micah

I'm going to be rather busy, but I cannot wait for everyone to open their gifts. Also, my goal is to have them done before Christmas. I've been known in the past for not having them done. Actually, I'm finishing some up from last year so they can be done before this year's Thanksgiving. What can I say? I'm a busy, busy girl with only two hands and 24 hours in the day.

New blog

I'm taking a note from my wonderful long-time friend, Kate, and creating a blog for my crafts and other homemade goodies. I chose my name from the nickname my preschoolers have given me and also creating gives me joy. Hopefully, you will like it also and I can showcase goodies that I will be making for Christmas, other celebrations, and just because.
